Origins of a dream
The Giulia Foundation is inspired by Giulia Mancini-Griffoli who left this world at the age of 6, in the winter of 2016.
Giulia's joy and generosity, her sensitivity and her stability, her courage and strength, touched those who knew her.
Giulia dreamed of being a mother, and was already a little mother to many. Her warm, open hands were always ready to clasp another, to embrace, offer, encourage, console, heal, and nurture.
She cared deeply for her family, and her friends, taking those left behind under her wings, sharing and giving what she had, bringing courage to the hesitant, a smile to the sad, vitality to the quiet, and inspiration to the bold.
She defended, and cared for, animals of all kinds, taking them in her reassuring arms without hesitation.
To all, she showed the beauty of life. Her radiant smile, her knowing and sparkling eyes, and her soft yet determined gestures brought peace and courage, and the desire to live to the fullest, to care, protect, inspire, and love.
Giulia continues to be a mother to children in need, in part through the Foundation. We are driven by her example, her values, and her ongoing companionship.
We invite you to join hands with us, with the many volunteers and donors of the Foundation, and with the children we aim to support.
