Our mission
The Giulia Foundation aims to support vulnerable children in the U.S. and abroad so they may blossom, by providing them with targeted programs offering:
- Strength—psycho-emotional balance through artistic expression,
- Inspiration—access to role models, mentors, and social networks,
- Opportunities—skills useful for future employment.
We also shared thoughts on the Giulia Foundation's mission, at the concert marking its launch.
We believe that
- Every child has potential, as well as a voice and place in society.
- Every child deserves and needs a loving, understanding, and encouraging environment to blossom.
- A healthy psycho-emotional development is essential to be able to take advantage of opportunities, lead balanced and happy lives, and inspire others.
- Artistic expression among peers can play an important role in transforming traumas, and supporting a healthy psycho-emotional development.
- Programs must be tailored to the needs of children in order to be successful. These needs can only truly be understood by spending sufficient time with children and listening to them.

Our work is guided by deep respect and admiration for children, and profound confidence in them, irrespective of background, race, ethnicity, or religious affiliation. We commit to pursuing the mission of the Foundation with upmost integrity, passion, and dedication.
Target group
The Giulia Foundation focuses on vulnerable children. This includes children who are in government placement systems (such as foster children, orphans, children having suffered abuse and neglect, and former detainees), and children suffering from other vulnerabilities such as homelessness, extreme poverty, and refugee status.
Social impact
Children who benefit from a healthy psycho-emotional development are more likely to benefit from role models, take advantage of opportunities, and ultimately lead happy and balanced lives. They are also less likely to engage in criminal or other destructive behavior, or be recruited by criminal groups. Instead they will themselves inspire others, enhancing community safety and cohesion.
